Pastor Jack Brown comes to Gilfillan Church from the United States, but is no stranger to the UK. In his 28 years as a pastor he has served churches in Glasgow and Southampton, and has always considered Scotland his “true home.” Before becoming a pastor, Jack studied film and video production and served as a video producer and TV news director. He has a passion for worship and spiritual formation, and when not behind the pulpit you will often find him sitting at a piano. He is married to Sharon Garlough Brown, also a pastor and author of the bestselling “Sensible Shoes” book series from InterVarsity Press. Jack is also the proud father of Glasgow-born David, who he still calls his “wee Scot” even decades later.

Jack and Sharon also direct a ministry called Abiding Way, which is committed to providing historically-rich, Biblically-based resources for spiritual growth to individuals and congregations.
